I wonder what were the colours that WB771 was sporting? That looks like an interesting scheme.
Mention was also made of the Victor's hands off landing capability. Does anyone remember an article concerning a Victor test flight where the crew ejected/egressed (safely) whilst on long finals and were later astonished to see the Victor sat at the end of the runway?
How's the paint job coming along Andre/Graham et al?
Grey/Green would have been nice but Hemp is much better than Pink!
WB771 had a black fuselage, red cheeck line with silver tail and wings, done especially for the Farnborough Airshow. It was also pale blue all over for the majority of its career.
And still a gorgeous looking plane today.
ReplyDeleteDarn right Andy, don't make them like they used to, Vulcan, Victor n Lighting wow
